Top 5 Longest Living Animals

1.African Elephant

African elephants are elephants of the genus Loxodonta (from the Greek words loxo (oblique sided) and donta (tooth)).[2] The genus consists of two extant species: the African bush elephant and the smaller African forest elephantLoxodonta is one of two existing genera of the family, Elephantidae.[1] Fossil remains of Loxodonta have been found only in Africa, in strata as old as the middle Pliocene.
2.Galapagos Tortoise
The Galápagos tortoise or Galápagos giant tortoise (Chelonoidis nigra) is the largest living species of tortoise. Modern Galápagos tortoises can weigh up to 417 kg (919 lb).[22] Today, giant tortoises exist only on two remote archipelagos: the Galápagos 1000 km due west of Ecuador, and Aldabra in the Indian Ocean, 700 km east of Tanzania.
3.Bowhead Whale
The bowhead whale (Balaena mysticetus) is a species of the right whale family Balaenidae, in suborder Mysticeti, and genus Balaena. A stocky dark-colored whale without a dorsal fin, it can grow 14 m (46 ft) to 18 m (59 ft) in length. This thick-bodied species can weigh from 75 tonnes (74 long tons; 83 short tons) to 100 tonnes (98 long tons; 110 short tons).[3] They live entirely in fertile Arctic and sub-Arctic waters, unlike other whales that migrate to low latitude waters to feed or reproduce. The bowhead was also known as the Greenland right whale or Arctic whale. American whalemen called them the steeple-toppolar whale,[4] or Russia or Russian whale. The bowhead has the largest mouth of any animal.[5]
4.Koi
Carp are a large group of fish originally found in Central Europe and AsiaVarious carp species were originally domesticated in East Asia, where they were used as food fish. Carp are coldwater fish, and their ability to survive and adapt to many climates and water conditions allowed the domesticated species to be propagated to many new locations, including Japan. Natural color mutations of these carp would have occurred across all populations. Carp were first bred for color mutations in China more than a thousand years ago, where selective breeding of the Prussian carp (Carassius gibelio) led to the development of the goldfish.[2]
5.Macaw
Of the many different Psittacidae (true parrots) genera, six are classified as macaws: AraAnodorhynchusCyanopsitta,PrimoliusOrthopsittaca, and Diopsittaca. Previously, the members of the genus Primolius were placed in Propyrrhura, but the former is correct in accordance with ICZN rules.[2] Macaws are native to Central America and North America (only México),South America, and formerly the Caribbean. Most species are associated with forests, especially rainforests, but others prefer woodland or savannah-like habitats.[3]
